This package is based on you purchasing a 3-day temple pass. Day 1 Transfer to The Villa Siem Reap for check in. Receive your Villa Arrival Pack Orientation tour of Siem Reap Town Depending on your arrival time choose from one of the following; shopping in the Old and Centre markets, landmine museum or Artisans Stone and Wood centre visit. Your day one activities are dependent on your arrival time and of course your interests. We will happily discuss all options when you arrive to work out the best place for you. 4.30pm Depart The Villa for an evening trip to one of our specially selected temples. Enjoy our sunset pack of wine, cheese and olives 6.30pm At around 6.30 pm you return to The Villa and enjoy a free Khmer dinner in our restaurant. Select from any Khmer Dish and enjoy a local beer, glass of wine or soft drink. Your private guide and driver transport you to Angkor Wat. Explore this incredible monument at your leisure and gain an insight into the Khmer Empire. Our guides are some of the most experienced in Siem Reap, and are committed to ensuring you get the very best out of your Angkor experience. Following Angkor Wat your guide takes you on to the ancient city of Angkor Thom. Explore temples including the famous Bayon, Phimeanakas, Royal Palace, Kleangs, Preah Pithu Group, and unlock the secrets of the Terrace of the Leper King and Elephant Terrace. Your guide We will ensure you see all the best well known sights as well as those that many miss. The timings for this day are flexible. We will discuss with you the best times to miss the crowds, and your guide and driver will work with you to establish a plan that suits your individual needs. Please note these temples are suggestions and we will work with you closely on where to go, and what to see. Head out to town and explore the many galleries, restaurants or cafes. Pick up a few souvenirs at the local markets or perhaps take advantage of your in room massage. This is a very special temple and the early start makes for a spectacular experience. Head back to The Villa and enjoy your full breakfast before heading off for a day of temple explorations. Visit Preah Khan – Temple of the sacred sword, Ta Som, Banteay Kdei, Banteay Samre, just to name a few. Head out to The National Silk Centre. The trip out takes you past rice paddies, buffaloes and local villages. Enjoy a interesting tour of the farm including breeding of Cambodian Silk Worms, silk extraction processes, through to the creation of some amazing pieces. The centre also exhibits some fantastic old looms as well as traditional Khmer dance costumes. The garden restaurant is a sensational place to unwind with a coffee and cinnamon doughnut! Inclusions Full breakfast per person 1 day of transport 1 temple lunch pack per person Trip to the National Silk Centre Day 4 Head out of Angkor Park to some of the outlying temples. Visit Banteay Srei the most intricately carved temple in all of Angkor. Following Banteay Srei we journey on to Kbal Spean. Enjoy a walk through the jungle, to the river that is a temple. Carved into the river bed are a number of incredible sights. Your trip out takes you through local villages providing some fantastic photo stops. On your return you may like to include a trip out to the Rolous Group temples. These are some of the earliest temple sites. The temple of Bakong also houses a pagoda where many people lost their lives at the hands of the Khmer Rouge. This is a big day and the afternoon provides an ideal time opportunity to take advantage of one of your pool passes. 6.30pm Enjoy a evening and experience a local Khmer dancing performance and Khmer Buffet dinner with one of our partners. Inclusions Transport Full breakfast per person Khmer Dance and Buffet dinner show Day 5 After a relaxing breakfast you head off for the stilted Village of Kompong Phhluk. This ½ day trip gives you an incredible insight into ‘real’ Cambodia. Journey through the Village, explore the flooded forest and take a relaxing trip out to the lake. This is an amazing adventure.* Spend the afternoon exploring around town or head across for a swim and relax. Enjoy a 35 metre resort style salt water pool. This is a really nice way to unwind after a hard day touring! Inclusions Full breakfast per person Kompong Phhluk village tour and boat trip Temple pack lunch enjoyed during Komping Phhluk tour Day 6 Your options for this day really depend on your departure time from Siem Reap. Siem Reap town offers some great shopping, interesting galleries and plenty of cafes and restaurants. Arrival Pack On arrival you receive The Villa arrival pack. This pack includes a bottle of either red or white wine, chocolates, 4 pool passes, two 2 for 1 cocktail vouchers and two 1 hour massage vouchers, available for use anytime during your stay. Breakfast (5 full breakfasts per person) Full daily breakfast per person selected from our yummy seasonal breakfast menu. Daily Temple Packs (4 temples packs per person) Each day we will give you a yummy temple pack filled with two drinks each of your choice and a sandwich or salad that you have selected from our menu. All of this is packed to ensure its kept cool and fresh. Driver (4 ½ days dedicated transport) We will provide you with a dedicated Villa Tuk Tuk driver. These drivers are selected as they have good English skills and a proven track record with us and our guests. Please note drivers are not allowed to accompany you into any temples. If you wish to extend your guide days the rate is $25 per day and bookings must be made in advance. Tuk Tuk – Little trailer cart attached to a motorbike Our Tuk Tuk driver is booked for you for the day at the temples. If you would like to return for a break during the day and then head out again then that is perfectly ok. Tuk Tuks are a fun experience and provide natural air-conditioning. Other modes of transport can be provided at a different rate. Khmer dinner for two Select any dish from our Khmer menu items, and either a house wine, local beer or soft drink per person. Professional Guide Service (1 day guide services) We provide you with one full day of English Speaking guide services. Our guides are experienced and are guaranteed to enhance your temple experience. If you require a guide with other than English language skills a supplemental fee will be applied. If you wish you book your guide for additional days the rate is $25 per day. Please note you must book this in advance to secure a Villa guide. A full day includes one of either sunrise or sunset and 30 mins break for lunch. Kompong Phhluk Stilted Village The village of Kompong Phhluk is based around the Tonle Sap where water levels rise 10 meters here during the wet season. The trip to this village is not possible from approx March to Mid July During this time an alternative location will be provided. Please note at times transfer to a motorbike for a short distance (Eg 1km) may be necessary. We will talk to you about conditions at the time if check in, and discuss alternate options if necessary. Outlaying Temples We provide a trip out of Angkor Park to some of the Outlying temples, some 30km away. The transport is included for this trip. National Artisans Silk Centre The centre is located some 16km from town, and the trip has been enjoyed by all who have gone. Allow at last 2 hours door to door. A free tour is provided at the centre. Pool Passes (4 passes provided) Enjoy the use of a salt water 35 meter resort styles pool. Located only a few minutes walk away this is a fantastic way to unwind. Khmer Dancing Performance Enjoy an evening of entertainment with a Khmer Dancing show and buffet dinner. Airport Transfers We provide full airport transfers by Tuk Tuk, both on arrival and departure Wine Pack We provide a bottle of either red or white La Villa wine and a selection of cheese and olives. Enjoy this out at a specially chosen temple or on our balcony. The wine pack is scheduled for night one, however of course you may have this whenever you prefer. Your Room Your booking includes accommodation in a deluxe room. This room features air-conditioning, a mini bar, satellite TV, is beautifully furnished and immaculately clean. Temples There are many, many temples to explore. We have included in this itinerary the must see temples as well as many of the smaller monuments that can unfortunately be missed by some travelers. Each temple is different so on arrival we generally would chat with you about your preferences and can then adjust to suit your needs. It is impossible in a short stay to see all the temples, we will work with you to ensure you get to see best ones. This package is designed to give you full flexibility. Temple Passes You need to purchase a temple pass to gain access to Angkor Park. Temples Passes are purchased directly from the Angkor Park Entrance. The cost for this pass is not included in our price. Passes come in three main varieties. Please note that the days are consecutive. • 1 day $20 • 3 days $40 • 7 days $60 Three day and 7 day passes require one passport photograph. We recommend you bring a photo. Photos can be taken for free at the gate but often there is a queue. By purchasing your pass after 4.45pm you can gain one evenings free access. Whilst you don’t have a lot of time at the temples before they close (and it gets dark) you do get a fantastic opportunity to wet your appetite or sneak in a sunset trip. Please note there are other temples that require a separate pass. If you take an additional tour to one of these temples you will need to purchase this separately (Eg. Beng Melea).  |
